Inspection and QC evidence policy.

PrepPort inspection is designed to find visible, countable, and instruction-based issues before inventory moves overseas. It is not a product certification or legal compliance guarantee.

Inspection scope

The exact scope depends on the approved work order, sample plan, product type, and customer instructions.

May include

  • Visible condition, count, carton condition, SKU/barcode match, label placement, packaging check, accessory check, photo evidence, basic function check where agreed, defect categorization, and exception notes.

Does not include by default

  • Laboratory testing, destructive testing, safety certification, destination-law review, customs classification, marketplace compliance approval, warranty analysis, authenticity certification, or full batch guarantee.

Sampling

Unless a full inspection is expressly purchased and feasible, QC may be sample-based. Passing samples do not guarantee that all units are defect-free.

Customer instructions and acceptance

QC quality depends on the clarity of customer specifications.

Customer must provide

  • Photos, approved sample references, barcode/label rules, acceptable defect limits, packaging standard, accessory list, destination/channel rules, key measurements, critical functions, and high-risk warnings.

Decision after QC

  • Customer may approve, reject, rework, return to supplier, request additional inspection, request supplier negotiation support, or hold goods. PrepPort does not release goods where finance, authorization, risk, or customer decision gates remain open.

QC liability boundary

QC reduces operational risk but cannot eliminate product, supplier, logistics, marketplace, or customer-use risk.

Evidence only

Photos, counts, videos, scans, and notes are operational evidence from the inspection time and location, not a legal guarantee of future condition or compliance.

Hidden defects

PrepPort is not responsible for hidden, intermittent, internal, latent, chemical, material, software, electronic, safety, durability, or customer-use defects unless a specific test was agreed and negligently performed.

Supplier issues

Supplier fraud, substitutions, delayed replacement, refusal to refund, changed batches, fake documents, or inaccurate claims remain supplier/customer risk unless PrepPort separately agrees to a specific managed procurement role.
